Sono Con is Alabama’s Premier Fan Convention celebrating ALL THINGS GEEK for TWO FULL DAYS in our lovely state capital of Montgomery, Alabama! We are Montgomery’s First and Only Locally-Organized and Community-Focused Geek Event and are excited to be embarking on THIRD YEAR after transitioning from 2 AWESOME YEARS under our former name, Gump City Con! We have something for EVERYONE at Sono Con and we know you’ll always have a geeky good time right here with us!

We’re a Non-Profit Organization that actively supports numerous charities meaning every dollar spent by fans such as yourself goes into making future events bigger and better than ever! It is through your continued dedication, love and support that we are able to provide a quality convention for our fans year after year!
Sono Con was first organized in 2016 and held its first year as Gump City Con at the Alcazar Shriner’s Temple on the Eastern Boulevard in August of 2017. Since its inception, Sono Con was founded to provide an outlet for fans to celebrate and fellowship together in an affordable, family-friendly environment and has since grown to be a driving force in the South as Alabama’s Premier Fan Convention! We are constantly striving to provide the best geek event each year while adapting to meet the needs of an ever-changing culture and ever-growing community and we are so very excited to have you be a part of the Sono Con family!
